Near record-breaking cold temperature draws near record-breaking
crowd to Hands Around the Capitol Rally and March
Hundreds of dedicated pro-life Mainers travelled across the state of to join in Solidarity
in observance of the 39th memorial anniversary of Roe v. Wade on January 14, 2012. The
standing-room only crowd included Maine’s Governor Paul LePage who mingled with the
attendees prior to the day’s program, and sat amongst pro-life Mainers throughout
the Rally at St. Michael’s Parish Gym in Augusta. The crowd exploded with applause when the
Governor took the microphone from the Rally floor and told pro-life supporters: “Today is important.
It’s important we get together to care about life.” Rally attendees noted that Governor LePage was wearing
the Precious Feet pin on his lapel. The Governor received a standing ovation from the pro-lifers who came
together to provide witness for our unborn babies whose lives have been snubbed out by the horror of
abortion. Freezing temperatures and ice did not deter attendees from marching to the Capitol.
Frank and Jean Pease, Board members of Maine Right to Life Committee, and the statewide Pro-Life
couple of the Knights of Columbus, led the March to the Capitol. Jean Pease processed with 39 long
stemmed red roses, connoting 1 rose for each year of Roe v. Wade’s fateful passage which has resulted
in the death of over 54 million innocent unborn American babies. Frank Pease solemnly rang the Capitol
Bell 39 times. Pro life leaders, legislators and organizations throughout the state were represented…
each bearing witness to the fateful passage of Roe v. Wade.

The award-winning science documentary, The Biology of Prenatal Development, explains the science and communicates the wonder of human development from fertilization through birth. Using six medical imaging technologies, the program features extraordinarily rare direct videography of the living human embryo and early fetus inside the womb from 4½ to 12 weeks following fertilization.

“Blood Money” was produced so that Americans understand exactly what is taking place in the multi- billion dollar abortion industry. It exposes the harsh truth about how abortion not only takes the life of a human being in the womb, but damages women. Narrated by Dr. Alveda King, (the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) the film interviews a cast of formidable insiders and experts including Carol Everett (former abortion clinic owner), Dr. Bernard Nathanson, (former clinic owner and co-founder of NARAL), and Norma McCorvey (“Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade).
DVD: approx. running time 1 hr. and 30 mins.
