Oppose Taxpayer Funded Abortions--Public Hearing March 27th. No on LD 820

March 21, 2019

This is the time to stand up and be counted.

The extreme abortion lobby is attempting to force all taxpayers in Maine to fund elective abortions for women enrolled in Maine Care, regardless of their views on abortion.  We must stop them in their tracks. LD 820, An Act to Prevent Discrimination in Public and Private Insurance for Pregnant Women, would also force private insurers covering maternity services to also pay for elective abortions in Maine.

Thank you, President Trump, for Putting LIFE back into our country, and passage of the Protect Life Rule!

February 22, 2019

Maine Right to Life, along with National Right to Life Committee (Press Release) and millions of Americans can rejoice, knowing that our Title X tax dollars will no longer be going to any entity that commits abortions.

Reminder--URGENT! Support S. 311---The Born Alive Bill! Call Senator Collins and Senator King!

February 19, 2019

Your voice is needed to protect babies born alive after an abortion.  The U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote Feb. 25, 2019 on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, S. 311.

In light of the radical trend that began with the signing of the Reproductive Health Act by Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) allowing abortion through all stages of pregnancy and removing explicit protections for babies born alive following a failed abortion, Congress needs to act now to protect unborn babies.

Get Out the VOTE

October 25, 2018

The pro-life movement will be influential in the outcome of the midterm elections. According to Teresa McCann-Tumidajski, Executive Director of Maine Right to Life Committee, there have never been more Maine candidates endorsed by National Right to Life, the nation's premiere pro-life organization, than this midterm. She states, "This year, we are uniquely blessed to have National Right to Life's endorsement of four outstanding pro-life candidates. This is unprecedented for Maine. We cannot squander all the good works and efforts that have brought us to this momentous time in our state's history."

Act Now! Title X Comment Period Closing Soon!

June 18, 2018

President Trump's new proposed "Protect Life Rule" would draw a clear distinction between abortion clinics and Title X dollars.  As with any federal regulation, there is an open comment period where the public has the opportunity to express their views. The comment period ends July 31, 2018 and it's important that we express our strong support for this life-saving rule!

Urge Your Maine Reps to Oppose LD 1063

February 14, 2018

LD 1063 is a bill which has been carried over from the last legislative session and has been amended.  LD 1063 is now entitled, "An Act to Reduce the Number of Substance-Exposed Infants," which sounds necessary and compassionate.  Don't be fooled.  The devil is in the details.  If enacted, LD 1063 could provide Maine Family Planning with an additional $120,000.00 in taxpayer funding. (LD 1063) (bill sponsors)

Thank You, Prayer Warriors!

January 15, 2018

We wanted to touch base with you to follow up on the cancellation of our annual Hands Around the Capitol Rally and March scheduled this past Saturday.  While much of the state did not experience the horrific statewide weather predictions of freezing rain, reports from members living in Augusta and surrounding towns North told us of the treacherous ice and sleet they experienced at the very time in which our event was scheduled.

September 7, 2017

Please take time and join with us to encourage Congress to support passage of the Conscience Protection Act ("CPA") of 2017.

For decades, federal laws have protected conscientious objection to abortion, regardless of party affiliation.  However, the current loopholes in the law have shown violations occurring in New York, California, Washington, Alaska, Illinois, and now, Oregon, as well.

Support Passage of LD 327

---Stop Taxpayer Funded Abortions!---

January 23, 2017

Call Congress and ask for a vote in Favor of H.R. 7, The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

We need your help to stop taxpayer funded abortions.  As you know, Obama Care has done an end-run around the long-standing Hyde Amendment which prohibits the use of taxpayer dollars for elective abortions. Obama Care has violated the decades of consensus amongst Democrats and Republicans by providing deceptive tax payer subsidies in the form of tax credits for health care plans which include abortion.

Yes We Can, Yes We Did!

November 9, 2016

The United States of America has elected a pro-life President…a President who has committed to uphold the Hyde Amendment, to oppose late term abortion on demand, to uphold religious liberty, and to nominate pro-life Justices to the Supreme Court.  He has already prepared a list of eleven conservative judges whom he would consider for Supreme Court vacancies----and each one of them is PRO-LIFE.

Get Out the Vote! Reminder!

The pro-life movement will be influential in the outcome of this election both here in Maine and across the nation. For the first time in many years, we have U. S.
